Fatigue - A short guide to human fatigue in Air Traffic Control

Fatigue affects everything we do as humans, both in our work lives and also our private lives. The impact it has can have serious effects and potentially serious consequences. In the most serious examples, it plays a major role in many incidents, either as a causal or contributing factor. At the very least, it affects performance and efficiency of both individuals and teams.

This course is a outline into fatigue within ATC, how to be aware of it and how to manage it. This is a short introductory course designed to lead into SkyNav's detailed Fatigue and FRMS content, available through the SkyNav Academy.
